Established in 2002, the OCRS is a Tulsa, Oklahoma, based sanctioning body for dirt track sprint cars. OCRS conducts racing events in multiple markets such as Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. OCRS sprint cars are a 360 cubic inch racecar with 500+ horsepower configuration. The cars utilize top wings for added speed and safety. The cars are of open wheel style with specialized framing. Cars (with drivers) only weigh 1500 pounds for a powerful weight to horsepower ratio. In 2013 & 2014 a select number of events were run as non-wing races.

The next step up from the OCRS. ASCS sprint cars feature the same 360 cubic inch configuration as the OCRS, but have fuel injection, a larger wing and other performance enhancements. The car/driver combination is lighter than the OCRS cars and the engines produce 700+ horsepower. ASCS is in it's 23rd year and many of the races are featured on MAV TV. Michael competed in his first ASCS race in 2013 and hopes to move up to that series in the future.
