Hamilton Claims Independence Day Special Victory at Valley Speedway
GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (July 4, 2026) — Valley Speedway celebrated America's 250th birthday in exciting fashion Saturday night as the Independence Day Special brought fans together for an evening of high-speed racing and patriotic festivities. The PEM Racing Gears & Drivetrain USRA B-Mods were the featured division, and the action on the quarter-mile oval lived up to the occasion.
When the checkered flag waved, Cole Hamilton parked his No. 2X machine in Victory Lane after putting together a strong performance to capture the feature event victory.
Brad Smith chased Hamilton across the finish line to earn the runner-up position, while Cody Brill completed the podium with a solid third-place finish.
One of the night's biggest movers was Austin Charles, who sliced through the field from his 12th starting position to finish an impressive fourth and earn hard charger honors. Travis Alexander also put together a strong drive, advancing from ninth on the starting grid to round out the top five.
The Independence Day Special provided another exciting chapter in Valley Speedway's 2026 season as fans were treated to competitive, side-by-side racing from green flag to checkered flag.
Valley Speedway returns to action on Saturday, July 11, with another full night of thrilling racing. Fans are encouraged to follow Valley Speedway's Facebook page for the latest event information, race updates, and announcements.
