1. All participants are subject to the rules of ULMA and are expected to comply by those
rules.
2. Participants will conduct themselves as professionals. Any un-sportsman like conduct
by a participant shall be grounds for disqualification and/or punitive action by ULMA.
This will be strictly enforced.

participation in the event and shall not be construed in any way to mean that the inspected
vehicle is guaranteed to be mechanically sound or safe. Be it further declared that
officials and/or ULMA shall not be liable for any mechanical failure, nor for any losses,
injuries or death resulting from the same.
7. All drivers must be at least fourteen (14) years of age (proof of age required), unless
the participating track has specific age rules, then their rules apply, no exceptions!
Drivers under eighteen (18) years of age are required to have a signed and notarized
Parental Consent Form. The Parental Consent Form must be signed by parent or legal
guardian (per family situation) and must be received by ULMA prior to participation of

8. Every driver must inspect the racing surface and the track area to learn of any
obstructions or other defects, which in the driver’s opinion presents an unsafe condition
for competition. The driver shall report any unsafe condition to an official. Any driver
that competes in an event is considered to have inspected the track surface and
surrounding perimeter to determine that all conditions are satisfactory. If the driver does
not feel that the conditions are satisfactory, the driver should not compete in the event.
The driver further acknowledges that he or she is aware that auto racing involves risk,
and that by competing in an event, the driver assumes these risks with full awareness and
responsibility.

designated prizes, drivers must be a member of ULMA in good standing.
3. All members will be required to compete at tracks designated by ULMA to be eligible

at the end of season only the top 15 “BEST” finishes of each driver will determine the
point’s championship. The ULMA Championship Season will be determined by the
ULMA members prior to starting the competition year. Member drivers will begin
accumulating points immediately upon paying their ULMA membership dues and will
earn points from that time onward. After 15 official race finishes are recorded, member
drivers will begin replacing their poorest finishes with improved finishes as they occur
throughout the season.
4. To become eligible to receive contingency awards each ULMA member shall be
required to display the association logo decal and the decals of the participating
contingency sponsors prominently on the race car.
5. At the discretion of the official(s) overseeing an event, any participant may be

Special Event Race Day Procedures
1. Drivers will draw for starting positions in heat races using the participating track’s
already “in place” method of drawing for position. If said track does not have such
system, ULMA will conduct its own starting draw. Heat races will consist of 8 or 10 laps
(depending on car counts).
2. Top 4 finishers in each heat race will proceed directly to the tech area, any driver
caught stopping at their car hauler/trailer or failing to report to the tech area will be
disqualified.
3. Only driver and one (1) pit crew member will be allowed in the tech area at all times
per car.
4. The top heat race finishers as determined by ULMA officials at the drivers’ meeting
prior to competition beginning, will redraw for their feature race starting positions before
leaving the tech area (unless otherwise instructed by a ULMA official).
5. Depending on car counts, the top two (2), three (3) or four (4) from each heat race will
be locked in the “A” main event.
6. If more than 24 cars enter a ULMA special event, there will be one (1) or two (2) “B”
main features consisting of 15 or 20 laps, depending on amount of cars that did not
qualify thru heat races.
7. The same procedure as stated in items 2 and 3 will follow the “B” main features.
8. Number of heat races and car count will determine how many drivers will qualify for
the “A” main event from the “B” main features.
9. Twenty-two (22) cars will qualify for the “A” main event with two (2) additional
“provisional” starters added to each “A” main event. One (1) provisional will be decided
by track owner/promoter. The second provisional will be awarded to the highest in driver
points “as of” the event date not to make the A-main event field. If a track does not wish
to pick a provisional starter, then ULMA officials will utilize the second provisional by
choosing the next highest in driver points who did not qualify for the A-mail event. If no
drivers are eligible via the ULMA “as of” points listing, provisional starters will be
awarded based upon points earned on the night of the special event. ULMA “A” main
events will be made up of a 24-car starting field. If a track’s layout does not permit a 24-
car starting field, ULMA officials will meet with the track’s management staff prior to
the event to determine the format for the starting field for all ULMA races to be
completed.
10. “A” main events will consist of 25 or 30 laps, with the top 5 finishers reporting
directly to the tech area upon completion of the “A” main. Any driver caught stopping at
their hauler/trailer or not proceeding directly to the tech will be subject to
disqualification. The “A” main event feature winner WILL report directly to the
technical inspection area after any and all trophy presentations are complete. Only the
driver and one (1) pit crew member will be allowed in the technical inspection area
during inspection.
11. Parade lap for “A” main event will be a 4-wide salute to fans (subject to time limits,
curfews, and track discretion).
12. All “A” main event restarts will be double file restarts (unless track layout or
management prohibits this format).
