Hess makes Valley charge

He took the lead on lap 18 of the 30-lap feature when Brett Anderson fell by the wayside due to mechanical trouble-CREDIT:John Lee of High-Fly'n Photos Mike Hess charged from the sixth row and took advantage of Brett Anderson's broken U-joint to win the O'Reilly POWRi Midget Series feature event Friday night at Valley Speedway. Anderson had led from the early laps before his car slowed on lap 18 of the 30-lap race.
Zach Daum, who led early on before giving way to Anderson, finished second ahead of Greg Lueckert. Joe Boyles came from deep in the field to finish fourth as Derrek King rounded out the top-five. O'Reilly POWRi Midget Series Results
